Middle River Drive

Luxury Waterfront Home Furnishing in Fort Lauderdale – Middle River / Sunrise Intracoastal. Full-Service Interior Furnishing – 6,000 SF Waterfront Residence.

This 6,000-square-foot waterfront residence in Fort Lauderdale’s Middle River / Sunrise Intracoastal area was designed to balance refined sophistication with warmth and livability. Positioned along the water with expansive views and abundant natural light, the home offered generous scale — but required thoughtful layering to ensure it felt inviting rather than austere.

Our South Florida interior design studio was engaged for full-service furnishing and interior decoration, with a focus on elevating the existing neutral architectural palette while introducing depth, texture, and subtle contrast.

The residence was built around a foundation of soft neutral tones — a direction the homeowners appreciated. However, in a home of this size, an overly restrained palette risked feeling flat or impersonal.

As a luxury interior designer specializing in Fort Lauderdale waterfront homes, our approach was to maintain the integrity of the neutral base while adding dimension through materiality, curated art, and layered finishes. Textural contrasts, sculptural furnishings, tailored upholstery, and natural elements introduced richness without overwhelming the serene backdrop.

The result is a home that feels polished and composed for its owners, yet warm and welcoming for guests.

One of the unique challenges of this project was harmonizing differing aesthetic preferences — from varying opinions on color to contrasting views on art and statement pieces.

Through a deliberate and collaborative design process, we identified common ground and developed a cohesive visual language that respected both perspectives. Strategic introductions of muted color, carefully selected artwork, and refined accents created moments of personality while preserving overall balance.

This nuanced approach allowed the interiors to feel layered and expressive without disrupting the home’s calm waterfront setting.

Waterfront living requires materials that are as durable as they are beautiful. Every fabric, finish, and furnishing was selected to withstand South Florida’s climate and active entertaining lifestyle while maintaining an elevated aesthetic.

Performance textiles, durable finishes, and thoughtfully scaled furnishings ensure the home functions effortlessly for everyday living and larger gatherings alike.

Our role encompassed space planning, furniture specification, custom furnishings, art curation, lighting selection, and complete installation. By overseeing every detail, we ensured cohesion across all 6,000 square feet of the residence.

This Middle River waterfront project exemplifies our belief that full-service interior design extends beyond decoration — it is about creating harmony between architecture, lifestyle, and environment. The finished home feels expansive yet intimate, refined yet relaxed — perfectly suited to luxury waterfront living in Fort Lauderdale.
